Escaping Victimhood

People affected by homicide can learn to ‘understand the past and embrace the future’ at this charity’s 4-day residential workshop.

At the workshops, participants:

  • learn about the physical and emotional impact of trauma

  • take part in a process of personal change

  • experience relaxation therapies

  • use creative arts to find new forms of self-expression

  • spend time with people who have had similar experiences

  • relate what they have learned to their lives, with the individual help of skilled facilitators.
